Beautiful morning at the Greenmarket.
Corn has arrived at Sycamore Farms. Five ears for $3 or 65¢ an ear.
Peaches have also arrived. At Terhune's they are $5 a pound, $3.75 elsewhere. Gotta go with Terhune's, they are the best.
Dahlia in the sun.
Tim Horton's was where TGIF was for a short time, now it is in the back.
Picked up some fresh Basil, will make a Shrimp/Scallop Pesto dish over Angel-Hair Pasta.
Kelso's of Brooklyn has a Summer Ale with Strawberries. Saison: Notes of citrus, strawberry, hay, and a hint of clove make this unique Belgian style ale complex yet satisfying. 5% alc/vol (April through August)
For a true Coast to Coast feel, an American Pale Ale from California: Lagunitas.
The reviews for The Winter's Tale are in and they are not as good as Merchant. Going to get to see it anyway. Probably on a weekday. The lines should not be as bad as for Merchant.
Watched the ending of Vertigo last night, the music by Bernard Herrmann is haunting.
