Forest Hills Greenmarket has to be my visit site, no time to get to Union Square. The Holiday market is now open at Union Square.

Cancer is taking over the body of my spouse. Going to be rough for the next few months. Visiting nurses and Home Health Aides will be available and I think I am covered. Got to check.

Bleu Cheese wins in a romp over the Packers. Hope the Knicks bring their A-Game tonight.

James Carville in the new Rolling Stone is interviewed for insights into the presidential election, a sample:

How did the Republicans get so outclassed in terms of technology? In 2004, Rove dominated on that front.

The most amazing story of the whole election was how personally shellshocked Romney was that he lost. They completely thought he was going to win. How can a man with a reputation of being data-driven, who does spreadsheets better than anybody in the world, be shocked that he lost? I can't wait to read the book as to what happened to Romney. It's stunning.

Part of it is how inefficiently they spent all the money they had. Conservatives have a point here: You give somebody too many resources, and they don't allocate them very well. The top people in the Romney campaign were paid $134 million in this election. The top consultants in the Obama campaign were paid $6 million. Democrats just spent their money smarter, better and with less nepotism or favoritism. It's stunning that a community organizer would be so much more efficient than a head of one of the largest private equity funds. As the rabbis have been saying for 5,000 years, "Go figure."

Odd / Even License Plate Gas rationing ends tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. Yeah !

Donated a bag of carrots, onions and potatoes to Sandy relief.

Well, the Chemotherapy is not working. So now my loved one is in the Hospital. Completely packed from Sandy stragglers and closings. Looks like no discharge until past Thanksgiving. The Body works by its own clock, not ours. Have to stay upbeat and keep on course because there are people who depend on me.

The refs stunk the place out last night. However, the Grizzlies look really good. Terrific Post play and some real nasty jump shooters.

My WWII Veteran father is buried with my mother in Calverton National Cemetery. He would have been 100 this year.

The NY Post Headline crew do it again. Forget about "Embed" and "all-in," this one is great.

Forest Hills Greenmarket Squash.

The I-Pad has so many features, I picked up this book. Despite their title, the series is a very good one.

Brain Pickings features The New Yorker and Dogs today. One of my favorite cartoons.

Some unintended consequences of acts. Money talks. Screwing your employees never makes sense in the long run. Example of short-term thinking. Surprised 29 hour weeks didn't make the election cycle.

Oliver Sacks always entertains and teaches. Looks like a good one.

"...About a year ago, I was informed by a doctor that I might have as little as another year to live. In consequence, some of these articles were written with the full consciousness that they might be my very last...
Sobering in one way and exhilarating in another, this practice can obviously never become perfected. But it has given me a more vivid idea of what makes life worth living, and defending, and I hope very much that some of this may infect those of you who have been generous enough to read me this far."
Christopher Hitchens (13 April 1949 – 15 December 2011)

Broke down and bought an Apple I-Pad, with Retina Display. Stunning graphics, now have to figure it out. Quick stop at Grand Central Oyster Bar for some NE Clam Chowder with Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale.

Set up an in-house Wi-Fi network with Cisco / Linksys E1200 wireless router. It was a snap.

Vote early and often.

Everyone says it is too close to call. Nate Silver on Election day has it: 90.9% chance for Obama Electoral College Victory and Governor Romney at 9.1%.

Still a bad scene in Queens for getting Gasoline. I am very lucky, I live next to a Gas Station and when it opens, they allow my block in first. No five hour waits. I will be searching for a Gas Can after this crisis passes. I can see where it can be useful.

William Manchester and Paul Reid: The Last Lion: Winston Spencer Churchill, Defender of the Realm 1940-1965. Read the first two volumes, might as well try the third even though Paul Reid had to work off Manchester's drafts.

The NYT FiveThirtyEight Blog by Nate Silver has President Obama's chances of winning the Electoral College at 85.1% and Governor Romney at 14.9%. Watched the Sunday Morning shows and everyone says this is a close race. What is the signal, What is the Noise ? I'm going with Mr. Silver. Hope this isn't confirmation bias.

Forest Hills Greenmarket was busy.

Gasoline is a real issue in Queens. Most stations have NYPD presence and about a four hour wait. I was lucky, twenty minutes because I saw an opportunity.

Trees down all around.

This one was dangerous, so I called 311.

Saw this on the way to dropping off clothes at a local church. The gym was filled with supplies and clothes. All going to the Rockaways, Queens Ground Zero, includes Breezy Point.

Great game, great start to a new season. Carmelo and Novak to the bank.

Union Square Greenmarket was at Madison Square Park today.

Picked up a Tom Cat Bakery Baguette today. I used to go to their plant in LIC to get bread. Good stuff.

Sandy wiped out this Willow. Still a danger as of today.

Did everything right with Sandy except topping off my Car's Gas Tank. Tried the water in Freezer Bags to make Giant Ice Blocks. Worked well.

Sandy took this sign off the building next door.

World's Best Hot Dogs are right down the block from me : Dominick's.
