Wow, a big hot mess. Veronica Lake sings well. Alan Ladd is terrific. The plot....well, it moves, but huh? Robert Preston is top-billed(why?) and Laird Cregar is quite good.

It was Alan Ladd day on TCM yesterday. Watched The Glass Key, DVR'd This Gun for Hire and The Blue Dahlia. Ladd and Lake make a great pair. Raymond Chandler referred to her as “Moronica Lake" during the filming of The Blue Dahlia.
