OK movie, a little long, reminded me of Dances With Wolves which was also a little too long. Stephen Lang was excellent as was Zoe Saldana.
Bleak, long and not really worth it. Stick with the book.

Brunch at Brother Jimmy's. A super Egg McMuffin: Bj’s Egg Sandwich * 2 fried eggs, ham, bbq onions & cheddar cheese on a jumbo english muffin, served w/ home fries , was terrific. Washed down with an oversized Mint Julep all for $14.95.
