December, welcome back.

Don't know if I will see the movie, but today I read the Esquire article it was based on. Quite inspiring.

It was 77 years ago.

No ASP for the feast of the Immaculate Conception. What about Hanukkah? Well, it's eight days, a minor holiday and not in the Bible. So say my Jewish colleagues.

The Unisphere.

Some money coming in, just in time for Christmas.

Great wreaths at the Greenmarket. I already bought one from the Boy Scouts.

Charade was pretty good. Great cast.

Peroni!

Early wreath.

Across the Pacific is not too good but the Astor/Bogart chemistry is wonderful.

This is money month, $35 win.

Allowed me to buy this wreath at the Greenmarket. Only $15.

Stout FIDI pours a nice Guinness.

My phone was lost but is now found. Thank God for "Find My iPhone." You can put an e-mail or another phone # on it remotely. Beautiful function.

Snow has begun.

I receive a lot of magazines. I was going to let some some subscriptions lapse but I went hog-wild and renewed them all. The magazines were an outgrowth of school fund-raisers. I really enjoy The New Yorker.

The Air and Space Museum made me remember the space race. So today, on TCM on demand: The Right Stuff. Never saw it, three hours and 31 minutes. Alan Ladd, the producer, thought it was too long.

Just read IMDB on the film. Wow, Levon Helm as Jack Ridley Narrator.

Wreath at Greenmarket.

Evening rates for Machu Picchu.

Retirement is on my mind lately. I fully intend to work as long as it makes sense but things are changing. I am in a good spot since I can leave my job tomorrow.

I think big changes are coming soon and I believe I will ride the wave. If I get wiped-out, so be it.

Beer for the weekend.
