On Staten Island again, time for Joe and Pat's pizza.



Saw the new Ghostbusters on Starz. I am so glad I didn't pay for it at the movies or in buying a DVD.



I have a lot of vacation time. I have a "use or lose" situation and have to take 4 1/2 weeks in the next six months. Today is my first day off in a while. Funny, you put vacation in Google images and all you get is beach scenes.

One option for Christmas trees is buying potted ones to replant. Just delivered this one to my brother for a new home in New Jersey.



Did a quick visit to Joe and Pat's Pizza on Victory Boulevard. Great extra cheese pie. The Staten Island Advance recently had a "Best Pizza" Poll. Joe and Pat's came in sixth (poll was updated see next linked article.) My vote for Denino's came in third. Winner was a place I never tried: Mona Lisa Pizzeria. The comments on both linked articles are pretty funny. I will have to try Mona Lisa the next time I am out there.



Last night I was screaming at the TV "Put in Derrick Rose." The coach was right keeping Ron Baker in, he was instrumental in a great come-back win.



$25 win !

Everybody Wants Some !! was ok, I liked Dazed and Confused better. Adapting, learning while taking the journey seems to be the point. Music was good, never knew the Van Halen song from which the title comes from. Animal House remains the college movie of all time.



Been listening to the Prince tribute on Sirius/XM: Sirius Ch. 184 or XM Ch. 1.

Trip to Riverhead outlets with the Grandkids. Nice fireplace, a cool Ferrari and lunch at TGIF's. Food is so-so but their deserts are awesome.



Another place on the Staten Island Pizza tour. Joe and Pat's on Victory Boulevard. Run by the family that now runs Pier 76. Jeremy Pappalardo of Pier 76 is the son of Gerry Pappalardo of Joe & Pat's. Had an excellent Sicilian slice.
