I know from reading the Biography that KV drew the cartoon on this cover. Good Biography, KV was not as nice as one would think but lived an amazing life.

Today's NYT Crossword has a Calvin and Hobbes clue: 40d- Calvin's baby sitter in "Calvin and Hobbes" : ROSALYN. I miss this strip and the Far Side.



A friend lent me this, mostly pictures, reading it will be quick. I have some Nordic forebears in the Family tree. Before Stieg Larsson became popular, I had a cousin named Stieg and thought the name was cool.



Must watch TV tonight is Jim Carrey hosting Saturday Night Live. My boys when they were young loved Ace Ventura, pretty funny stuff.

Of course, I took the tree to my local
Mulchfest.



A couple of months ago, I saw In Like Flint. It
wasn't bad. This was on today and it was fun. Eco-terrorism
and world domination. Lee J. Cobb too.

James Coburn was in two of my favorite movies: The Magnificent
Seven and The Great Escape. IMDB.com indicates that Coburn
and Steve McQueen were pallbearers at Bruce Lee's funeral.
