Real nice piece in today's NYT by Eric Asimov on Chiantis. I always look for the Black Rooster, gallo nero in Italian, on the bottle of Chiantis. I used to have a T-Shirt of the bird. The Black Rooster is the symbol of The Chianti Classico Wine Consortium.
