Happy Thanksgiving !

Thanksgiving breakfast. Burger King 89¢ pancakes, coupon hash browns, French toast sticks and topped with a McDonald's Egg McMuffin.

Local Starbucks in the spirit.

Salvador Dali street art on 35th street.

Finally did a Black Friday sale. Ordered a Cast Iron pan and two ties. Having it shipped (free over $50) to my job to beat the crowds.

BBC-A has a Star Trek marathon. The second episode ("Where No Man Has Gone Before") has Mark Piper (Paul Fix) as the ship's doctor.

Kirk's middle initial is given as "R." in "Where No Man Has Gone Before" and is seen clearly on the gravestone fashioned by Mitchell for Kirk; subsequent episodes use "James T. Kirk". His middle name was revealed to be "Tiberius."

It's so hot
looks like you have three beaks crow
the moon's so full
white hat on a pumpkin
you know there's something
the moon was a stone's throw
stop the show
I need to say hello
to the crow

Cold, clear day. Not too crowded. Not much there as far as food is concerned.

Butternut Squash in the sun.

The Michael Jackson ornament has to be the weirdest one yet.

Lots of Christmas ornaments at the Christmas Village.

Lots of Beer in the NYT Crossword Puzzle today. Never had this one, but you have to love the name: Moose Drool Brown Ale from the Big Sky Brewing Company in Montana.

The Big Sky's Trout Slayer Ale looks good too. Both get good reviews.

Some guy named Aleman in Rex Parker's Comments section mentions Santa's Butt and Seriously Bad Elf. They are made by Ridgeway Brewing Company of South Stoke , England.

An explanation of Butt:
In case you find that amusing, we hasten to point out that in England ‘butt’ refers to a certain barrel used in brewing -- a very large barrel, in fact, holding 108 imperial gallons. Back in the day it was quite a normal thing for a brewery to put its beer up in a large butt for storage.

Salvador Dali would be amused.

Staycation - August 22, 2008

Dalí: Painting and Film. Exhibit through
September 15, 2008. Museum of Modern Art - MOMA.
This was my first visit to MOMA. It took Dali to get me there.
The Spellbound sequence alone is worth the visit.

Real cool Olivier as Richard III portrait.

Nicholas Lampert Machine-Animal.

Lampert's Web Site.

Terrific outdoor Sculpture Garden.

Wine and beer available at the Garden.
The Coney Island Lager wasn't bad.
