31 days of Oscar winners on Turner Classic Movies
this month: Schedule.

Last night was car chase night. Bullitt wears well, the car chase is spectacular. The Car stuntman (also driver of "Tuxedo Black" 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum), Bill Hickman, did the chase scene for and also acted in the French Connection

Paul Genge is great as the hit-man.

The French Connection also still connects. The director, William Friedkin, had seen Bullitt and wanted the same guy for the chase.

The movie’s famous chase sequence begins at Bay 50th Street Station. The car chase filmed (over five weeks) beneath the Bensonhurst Elevated Railway – 26 blocks (count ’em) of Brooklyn’s Stillwell Line from Bay 50th Street Station along Stillwell Avenue, into 86th Street and finally right into New Utrecht Avenue, ending at 62nd Street Station, which is where Frog Two gets shot.

A Little Motown action to prep for the game.

Written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin.

Here's Carole.
