Cool clear day, crowded at 9:30 a.m.
Grapes in the sun.
Gourds in the sun.
Reminded by the NYT Crossword this week that it is Brussells Sprouts, a Cultivar group of wild cabbage.
Broccoli looked so good I got some.
The Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room did not have Brooklyn Cuvée Noire, so I settled for a Four-Pack of Black Chocolate Stout. This will accompany Sausage and Peppers and Cheese-Steaks. The Beer Room now has a Facebook page which lists the latest drafts and specials.
A little Dr. John action.
I was looking for some old Halloween photos the other day and I came across some CDs and floppy disks of old pictures. They were all Seattle Film Works with a .sfw extension. The CDs had embedded programs but only opened low definition photos. A quick look on the Internet found IrfanView a really cool program that could handle just about any image file out there. Their thumbnail viewer is also a great tool. The Price ? Free ! They use a Panda as a logo on the thumbnail viewer. Above is shot from the Bronx Zoo in 1995.
A fun site to play with: Tonematrix.
Black Chocolate Stout was fabulous !
