I let my membership lapse. I like it for the discounts and free shipping. I renewed, received a new card and number. It was a hassle getting the new # registered to my online account but finally was able to do it. I received a bunch of welcome coupons which will be used today. Books and DVDs seem likely.



Greenmarket still pretty sparse but picked up seafood for linguini.



Positively 7th Street for me today: Luke's lobster , Porchetta, McSorley's and a quick trip to 6th street to Mighty Quinn's.



Prices are from another era.



American Hustle looks up my alley. Getting it made my $5 off coupon viable. That was after 40% off as a member.



The Wolf of Wall Street,bought the book and the DVD.



Porchetta makes a small but very tasty sandwich.

Beautiful sunny day.

Beer for the weekend is Zywiec-Porter. Heineken owns the Zywiec Breweries.

August 14, 2010 - Summer Streets

Plan is to walk and at 11:00 a.m. start a Beer Crawl.Beautiful day to be outdoors.




Nice day for a walk.



Streets are closed for play.



The dumpster pools were by Grand Central.



Crowded by Grand Central.

First stop was McSorley's.



Next was Acme at Great Jones Street for appetizers and Abita Turbo Dog.



Acme has an extensive Hot Sauce collection. This one was Scorned Woman Hot Sauce.



Next stop was Loreley Beer Garden on Rivington Street.

Last stop was a very crowded Greenmarket.

Summer Streets, took a stroll from 14th
Street to the South Street Seaport. Beautiful
weather, stopped in a few places for libations.



Lafayette Street.



First stop was McSorley’s where ALE is well.



The famous hot mustard. Had two Dark Ales.



Next stop was Acme Bar and Grill
for a Bloody Mary and an Abita Turbo Dog.



Sláinte was next for
a Guinness and a Sam Adams Summer Ale.



Brunch at Cowgirl Sea Horse, on
Front Street. Kelso, Brooklyn Summer Ale and
a Frozen Margarita washed down Huevos Rancheros
and Rattlesnake Bites (Jalepeno, bacon and Shrimp.) It
was a nice friendly place.



When you walk, you can stop and marvel at the things you see.

Peaches and Tomatoes. Really crowded in the late afternoon.
