Figured I have to take this picture now before they take it it down or put up a plaque outlining his misdeeds.

Different colored carrots.

November starts the NY Bay Scallops season. Peconic Bay Scallops at P.E. and D.D. Seafood were $31 a pound. They are delicious and worth it.

Chimes at Midnight, Welles' Falstaff movie. DVR'd it last night from TCM. Will watch it later.

Another Take Five win, $21.

SiriusXM has Channel 70 dedicated exclusively to B.B. King this weekend.

Rainy day at the Greenmarket.

P.E. and D.D. Seafood now has Lobsters again.

Nice rainstorm at the Preakness. American Pharoah is a Mudder. Isn't it supposed to be Pharaoh ?

Restaurant Week coming soon. Available sites should be out around July 9th.

R.I.P. Robert Dwayne "Bobby" Womack.

THAT'S THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT 'CHA

Huh, you know life is funny
When you look at it
Everybody wants love
But everybody's afraid of love

Picked up swordfish and calamari at P.E. and D.D. Seafood. Also, spring onions, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, mushrooms, garlic and strawberries. Should have corn be next week. Hoping they have some Friday for the Fourth.

I like his other stuff, why not try his wine ?

My $25 gift card and $3.90 nook settlement bought me this, an interesting read which had me looking up several words.

And this, unusual in that it was 16 oz.

I always start things later. I happened upon a review of Roku's streaming stick and now I'm in. My boys like streaming videos to their I-Pads, I don't. Now, I can set up a stream to my HDTV via this device the size of a thumb drive. I know I could have bought a Blu-Ray player or a stand-alone box. Just wasn't interested at the time. Maybe, I will catch up on all the things people discuss that I never watch like Breaking Bad or Mad Men. Of course, nobody had it. Ordered it from Best Buy for April 9th pick-up.

So, I enrolled in Netflix. My boys love it and they still watch on their I-Pads.

Streaming Netflix and Drinking Alone in Your Apartment This Weekend? Here’s What to Watch and Drink: sip and stream by Alyssa Bereznak is a hoot. She pairs Netflix movies with drinks. Adds: Any pairing can always be substituted with a large bottle of wine.

Since I can't watch it on Netflix just yet, I bought the DVD. I liked the graphic novel.

Renewed my B&N membership which I had let lapse.

Picked up some Gray Sole from P.E. and D.D. Seafood.

Happy Birthday George ! I still marvel at the history that wasn't taught : Washington's Owning over 300 slaves.

Flowers in the sun. Beautiful day. Went to P.E. and D.D. Seafood for squid and scallops. Will add shrimp for a red sauce seafood linguini.

Never saw this before. Tyson Chandler prevents ball from going through the cylinder with his own head after a dunk. Offensive interference and a metaphor for the Knicks season of doom.

Summer Streets, Week 2, a bit more crowded than last week.

Statue at the Appellate Division, First Department. Happens to be where the Whole Foods Market Picnic is located. Lots of free stuff but long lines.

Time for Lobster, Squid, Shrimp and Scallops. P.E. and D.D. Seafood for most of the stuff and Margaritaville Shrimp to top it off. Will make a Seafood Linguini.

Davy's at Mount Arlington, New Jersey for Breakfast on the way and Lunch on the way back. A classic Roadside place, easy access on and off Route 80 and next to a Gas Station.

Golf was great, just what I needed. Weather could not have been better, didn't even have to use the pool.

Cards and Beer were also on the agenda. Won both nights. Landshark and Coronas were the choices. Re: Landshark from a 2009 post - "Landshark is made by Anheuser-Busch, but claims it
is brewed by the Margaritaville Brewing Co. Sort of like Blue Moon and Coors, anything to make you buy. It was an OK beer, reminded me of a Corona - light, not much flavor but
a quick drinking refreshing pop. They also favor putting a Lime in it. Got to prevent scurvy, I guess.

Of course, the name comes from an old Saturday Night Live skit."

You have to love a place where you can get the papers, coffee and Live Bait from a vending machine.

Picked up a nice piece of Striped Bass from P.E. and D.D. Seafood. Went real early, 7:30 a.m. I think that will be my new routine, no lines, good fish available and no money for parking.

Shiner Ruby Redbird is the weekend Beer.

Heard this in a friend's office yesterday. This one is a great collection. Includes the only live version and several alternate takes.

I used to see the Con Ed Building from my bedroom window when I was growing up.

This new sculpture, which replaced the silver Andy Warhol, reminds me of the Star Trek Guardian of Forever.

No corn yet, hoping next week. Sunflowers still look good. Picked up some Weakfish Fillets from P.E. and D.D. Seafood.

From the Barnes and Noble Starbucks Cafe.

Decoration Day from the Civil War was the Genesis of Memorial Day.

Yesterday, the Forest Hills Greenmarket had Fish from the Pura Vida Boat. Picked up some Mako Shark and Swordfish. Grilled it with Olive Oil and Oregano and Pepper.

"Radiches" !

Picked up this Biography of Cardinal Richelieu. However, I can't get the Monty Python sketch out of my mind:

Counsel: Er, you are Cardinal Armand du Piessis de Richelieu, First Minister of Louis XIII?

Cardinal: Oui.

Counsel: Cardinal, would it be fair to say that you not only built up the centralized monarchy in France but also perpetuated the religious schism in Europe?

Cardinal: (modestly) That's what they say.

Counsel: Did you persecute the Huguenots?

Cardinal: Oui.

Counsel: And did you take even sterner measures against the great Catholic nobles who made common cause with foreign foes in defence of their feudal independence?

Cardinal: I sure did that thing.

I had 20% off Barnes and Noble coupons and this one was too good to pass up. Great thing about re-issues is Bonus tracks.

All over town are the new Bicycle racks. This one in front of Barnes and Noble.

P.E. and D.D. Seafood for fresh tuna. Grilled with Olive Oil, Pepper and Oregano. Greek Style, so I got a little Feta Cheese.
