I always thought Jackson Browne wrote Take it Easy. Now, I realize Glenn Frey co-wrote it. Glenn Frey RIP.

Hey Chase: how about paying me to see these chumps ?

Finally watched Ricky Jay: Deceptive Practice on American Masters. The New Yorker article which inspired it was in the April 5, 1993 Issue: Secrets of the Magus. Great show ! Grantland has a nice piece on the documentary.

Flydini was conceived with Ricky Jay's assistance. "To Ricky, Without you there would be no Flydini. Think about it, Steve."

Blue Smoke is the first Restaurant Week visit. Love the little clothespin holding the RW menu. Great deal, go with the ribs.

June 12, 2011- Big Apple BBQ Redux

Ubon’s Barbeque of Yazoo, Yazoo City, Mississippi for Pulled Pork.

Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, Birmingham, AL :Sausage with saltines and Pimento cheese.

Pappy’s Smokehouse, St. Louis, MO Ribs.

The Original Fried Pie Shop, Texas Fried Pies. Reminded me of the Fried Dough flavor of Zeppoles. This was a loooong line, and a very disorganized crew. Very tasty and worth the wait.

Blue Smoke had a desert booth besides their Beef Ribs. This was a Blueberry Crisp ala mode. Fantastic !

The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que ,Driftwood, TX , with Brisket and sausage on bread. Brisket was good but not as good as Hill Country's.
