Next Sunday, NYC names a street in honor of Walter Becker.

Saw Smokey Joe's Cafe, the last performance is November 4th, before a national tour. Great show. Fantastic voices and dancing. The band was playing its asses off. Kansas City was sung by a female. What do you do to the lyrics? You change them to "crazy way of lovin, and I'm gonna get me some," the original:

Goin' to Kansas City
Kansas City here I come
Goin' to Kansas City
Kansas City here I come
Got some crazy little women there
I'm gonna get me one

Grand Central at night.

I am cooking with Gas, found this iconic picture. I know the woman with the broom.

Summer Streets finishes today. I went to the tunnel with ocean noises. Not that great but the walk around Grand Central Station was great.

Crazy in that I was looking for this wine and I stumbled upon it in a place nearby.

Tried By War, James McPherson's new book, is featured in a
good article in today's NYT.

Wonderful time in NYC. The Holiday markets are now open.
My favorite is Union Square, but Grand Central and Bryant Park
are also worth a visit.
