Tried Queens Blvd IPA. Good and very hoppy. Queens Brewery data: Session IPA, aggressively hopped with Mosaic, Mandarina Bavaria, and Topaz.

Had this one recently. Also, very hoppy.

That time of year, conference playoffs, then NCAAs. Basketball watching heaven. Duke / North Carolina game last night was great. I don't favor either team, just like watching good, hard-nosed B-Ball.

A great A-10 game, with Jack Gibbs taking over in crunch time. #9 Davidson beats #1 seed Dayton. Steph Curry did the same. Will Davidson make a run ? Update: Davidson just got crushed by Rhode Island, they won't make the NCAAs.

Kindle free book as well as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

One of my favorites Jim Harrison. Writing about food and Wine.

“Sometimes the only answer to death is lunch.”

"How feebly the arts compete with the idea of what we are going to eat next."

"Any fool knows that red wine is the best energy drink if you keep it within two bottles."

$10 win.

Getting rid of Preet Bharara was wrong.

Ruined my Bracket but this was one hell of a game. These guys are about as quick and athletic as any team I have seen so far. They play with no fear. My son pointed out that in the Big East, the teams are so physical during the year that come tournament time they don't have much left.

Can't believe Easter is next week.

Went to P.E. and D.D. Seafood for some flounder. Tonight is Beer-Battered Flounder and Chips (Nathan's Fries.)

Even with all these upsets, I am still in the 97th Percentile in my Bracket.

P.E. and D.D. Seafood for Lobster, Crab, Squid and Scallops.

Lily in the sun.

Kohlrabis looked good.

Even a Moroccan/ Mediterranean place is Irish for the day.

Fish Head reminds me of Captain Beefheart.

The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings.”

So, my Bracket is still alive. Two of the Final Four teams. In the NYT, I rank 97% out of over 36,000 entries. In the ESPN pool only two people out of over five million entries picked the correct Final Four.

St. Patrick's Day and March Madness. What could be better ? Guinness is the beer for the night, with a little Harp and then later some Ale mixed in. Will peek in on the Knicks game too.

Louisville (Like Fredo): "You Broke My Heart." As well as my Bracket. Princeton/Kentucky game was wild. Butler/Old Dominion and Richmond/Vanderbilt games were great. The Tourney is the best sports event of the year. Go Redmen !

Wildwood BBQ was quite good. Only had appetizers and beer.
The Bacon, Jalapeño, and Shrimp dish was outstanding. Pigtrip
has a recent review.

The Brooklyn Brown Ale on tap was fresh and tasty.

The Queens Library is great. I ordered Spade and Archer on-line.
They sent me an e-mail to come pick it up and it was waiting for
me at the library. It is good. The Flitcraft incident and
randomness comes right at you in the early chapters. I can't
see reading it if you haven't read the original. Overall, a
worthwhile romp.

Also picked this up, featured in last week's acrostic.

Stumbled upon this one and picked it up. This is
a bonus. Never heard of it, but it is right up my alley.

Great tournament so far. It isn't perfect , but it is the purest
sports event out there. My bracket is doing well so far, I am in the
six thousand range on the NYT site.

This is a new place for beer in Brooklyn. They normally will
have 10 taps working. I wanted to get Jever Dark but they
were sold out from their grand opening yesterday. I went there
today and a very friendly staff recommended Sixpoint Sweet Action, a Cream Ale - 5% ABV, like Genny Cream Ale on steroids: Six Point Craft Ales. This is one great beer.
