Bloody Mary Time ! Fresh TJ from Migliorelli Farm and fresh horseradish from Gorzynski Ornery Farm.

Received an unexpected Christmas bonus. I will spread around good cheer and use some of it wisely.

Bowery Meat Company is the next stop for the Ribeye.

Bought the Extended edition of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The ring wielded by Gandalf was new to me. Or, maybe I knew it and forgot.

Narya ("ring of fire") is also visible on Gandalf's hand at the end of The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King during the Grey Havens scene.

CĂrdan, knowing Gandalf's true nature and duty, gave him Narya to aid him in his labours..

It is described as having the power to inspire others to resist tyranny, domination and despair, as well as having the power (in common with the other Three Rings) to hide the wielder from remote observation (except by the wielder of the One) and giving resistance to the weariness of time. It is also thought to have magical properties.

This is my 1000th post. Merry Christmas to all !

Presents start early, this wine,Truffles and a Barnes and Noble gift card. Bought a large Bailey's Chocolate Cherry for myself and it is in the coffee I am now drinking.

My nephew pointed this one out to me.

Saw The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, I am a fan, so I enjoyed it. The battle scenes were awesome. My only complaint was that I wanted more Beorn. He appeared for about ten seconds, dropped into the battle by an Eagle while shape-shifting into a bear. The argument that the Eagles are just a convenient plot device is rebutted here: Deus Ex Machina.

The Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

Another in the Staten Island Pizza tour : Tony's Brick Oven. Great sauce, Garlic Knots come with marinara sauce and are fantastic.
