Happy Father's Day ! It's hard getting Corona, They stopped production in April. I was able to get their Brown version. Production resumed June 1st.

Speaks for itself.

Yesterday was Summer Solstice. A few showed up.

Today, I went with a mix. Not bad. a little too much salt but quite good.

Lots of street art in Manhattan.

Watched the Battle of the Bulge. A hot mess and full of inaccuracies. A long movie, it even had an opening orchestra and intermission. The best parts: Telly Savalas as "Guffy", the Panzer youngsters singing Panzerlied (frightening in how youth can be indocrinated and Robert Shaw re-enacting Red Grant as a Nazi.

A visit to Times Square. A ghost town.

Coronas and Tacos for Dos de Mayo.

From The Suits of James Bond: "In From Russia With Love, Bond wears a charcoal flannel suit to dinner at the gypsy camp. This is a typical Anthony Sinclair suit: a lower two-button style, natural shoulders with roped sleeveheads, a little drape and a nipped waist. This suit jacket has double vents, four buttons on the cuffs and flapped pockets. The trousers have double forward pleats with button-tab waist adjusters and turn-ups."

Just finished From Russia With Love on Netflix. The best Bond movie. is remarkable. He died a short time later and was deathly ill during the filming.

Snow was not as bad as billed but boy was it cold. I still managed to drive to work with the traction control yellow light going off constantly.

Received Balducci's Artisan Chocolate Truffles. Not bad, but a bit small. I used to go to them in the Village and later would go to the sister's Grace's Marketplace. The brand was bought by a large conglomerate. According to Wikipedia:"in April 2009 Balducci's was sold to Kings Food Markets, a portfolio company of Angelo, Gordon and Co."

Corona was $12.99 a twelve pack. Beer for the weekend football games.

The Marquis in the sun. No fish at the Greenmarket for the second week in a row. Understandable, one was right after New Year's and Suffolk County was hit hard by the storm.

I have actually been working too hard, even bringing work home. The hard work has paid dividends but it is for personal satisfaction. Whether I did it well or not would have been ignored or missed. Still, the results so far are great.

My old favorite Lao Bei Fang Dumpling House has moved to 83-05 Broadway,Elmhurst , NY.

The plaques were sculpted in bronze by Gregg LeFevre and were dedicated in 2002.

Flowers still a big part of the Greenmarket.

Nothing else on, so even though the Yankees are 12 and 1/2 games ahead, I'll still watch it.

End of Staycation brews are Coronas, with twists of Lime.

The Pura Vida Boat had Mako Shark at $11.99 a pound. Pan-fried with tomato, onion and garlic. A little Tequila for body. Delicious.

Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival at World Financial Center Plaza (sponsored by WFUV.)
Saturday, July 30, 1-5pm: Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra, Hazmat Modine, Danny Kalb, Ryan Shaw, Citigrass. Taj Mahal played Thursday night but I couldn't make it.

Danny Kalb of the Blues project was the best of the sets.

The NYT Book Review is always interesting. The review of A BILLION WICKED THOUGHTS What the World’s Largest Experiment Reveals About Human Desire, By Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam included the word Farrago ("But there is no sense in scrutinizing for consistency a farrago like this book.") and a reference to the Web Site PornHub.

Corona was on sale again and I wanted to try the below trick.

Put inside a freezer for three hours, then tap on counter. Results later.

Black-eyed Susans at Hudson River Park.

First White corn of the season at Sycamore Farms. Fantastic !
