Lots of construction today, a shot while stuck
on the Williamsburg Bridge.

Welcome to the Greenmarket. Crowded at 10:00 a.m.
Due to construction and beautiful morning.

Strawberries are the seasonal option. Been making
Strawberry Short cake with them.

Phillips Farms let you sample before you buy.

17th street side.

Still mostly an outdoor florist.

Nice sunny morning makes everything look
great.

Memorial Day, give thanks to all who served. My father is
buried in Calverton with my mother by his side.

He served as a Lieutenant in WWII with the 84th Infantry Division,
The Railsplitters. He was awarded a Bronze Star and never mentioned it.

Strawberries make their first appearance.
$4 a basket. Delicious and sweet. Made
Strawberry Short Cake. I took a bunch
of pictures, trying out a new digital camera.

Artist framing her shot.

This Squirrel wasn't afraid at all.

He liked having his picture taken.

Rhubarb.

Spring Garlic.

Flowering Bush.

Irises.

store Community Beverages.

At Wildwood BBQ yesterday: Spicy Shrimp “Diablo”
JalapeƱo & Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Washed down with
Six Point Righteous Rye and Blue Moon Ale.

Tonight on Channel 13.
Vin: We deal in lead friend.
Another great line:

And the people in the village?
What about them?

l leave it to you.

Can men of our profession
worry about things like that?
May even be sacrilegious.

Channel 13 had a great interview with Eli Wallach:

Interview: Eli Wallach, Actor from Reel 13 on Vimeo.

Memorial Day viewing. Here's a clip of
Francis Ford Coppola explaining the famed
introduction:

Must read for the weekend.

Picked this up from the library. Looks like a good
companion to This Boy's Life.

Take the Inferno Test and see what level you should be placed.

Last week was the last of this year's No.1
Ladies Detective Agency. Real good series, Jill Scott
is terrific as is Anika Noni Rose.

Have to get this one. One of my favorite writers.

An Age of Kings DVD was good.
I have to re-read Henry IV to get back into it. I always read
the play before seeing it. What I did see was worth it.
Sean Connery as Hotspur is a hoot. Falstaff played by
Frank Pettingell is great.

Mushrooms. $4 a pound.

Not too much action.

Radishes always available.

Asparagus is the only seasonal.

This is a bottle fermented ale and is quite good.

Rogue hasn't disappointed me yet.

People keep lending or giving me things. Tonight with
Shakespeare Stout, I'll try Henry IV. Sean Connery plays
Hotspur.

I tried the White Castle Pulled Pork Slider.
It is awful. They have a promotion, buy one get one free with a
online coupon. Double the indigestion.
