Picking up the DVD today.

Rooting for Louisville tonight and Ohio State.

Jeremy we need you ! Shake off your Linjury.

Vintage 2002, looked around and paid $149.99. Some places had it for $189.99.

CÎROC ad is playing constantly on TV during Sportcasts on Cable. This is the long version. Any ad with Michael K. Williams (Omar) and Frank Vincent is worth it. Homage to the Rat Pack with "The Voice."

What a game ! Cardinals in Final Four.

The Milwaukee Bucks lost last night, big game Monday.

One bad thing about watching lots of sports on TV is that you get hit with commercials that drive you crazy. I basically stopped my music listening in the mid 70s. Not to say there wasn't great music produced since then, just a personal choice. I do remember True by Spandau Ballet and it is on my I-Tunes which generally stops at about 1975. This commercial butchers the song and is outright annoying. Click on this: to go to YouTube or double click on the YouTube logo. The comments below the video are priceless. Looks like I'm not the only one who is annoyed.

2009 Ravenswood Vintners Blend Zinfandel and Santa Rita 120 Cabernet Sauvignon are the wines for the weekend.

Occupy Wall Street was at Union Square. There were more cops than protesters.

OK, they lost. At least they have a home game tonight. Another remote control fest with the NCAA Elite Eight beginning.

Mexican brunch at Tortaria , off of Union Square. Good food, but self-seating and self-service. Drinks are $8 a pop. Interesting place, but I'll stick with Rosa Mexicano for Brunch.

Spring Edible Queens is now out.

Preparing for my annual downtown trip, made the reservation before the NYT review.

Jeremy was outstanding last night, tough road win.

I'm rooting for Louisville and Xavier at this point.

The Vernal Equinox was yesterday.

You know it is Spring because the Forsythias are in bloom.

Short period but so beautiful.

So are the trees.

Leftovers from St. Pat's day.

Bought some Fuji Apples at the Greenmarket yesterday and was given a slice of Cameo Apple. It was great, tried to buy one and they told me enjoy. An Apple buy-back, outstanding.

My bracket got injured but it is still alive, 86th Percentile. Linsanity is back ! People wrote him off, now for the resurrection as just a good player. This is the best time for B-Ball, the remote is going to need new batteries. The Time magazine cover was for the Foreign market and was not in the one I received.

Georgetown killed my Bracket. It was an odd pick on my part but that was what I went with. Lets see how my other picks go.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day ! Sláinte !

Even with all these upsets, I am still in the 97th Percentile in my Bracket.

P.E. and D.D. Seafood for Lobster, Crab, Squid and Scallops.

Lily in the sun.

Kohlrabis looked good.

Even a Moroccan/ Mediterranean place is Irish for the day.

Fish Head reminds me of Captain Beefheart.

The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing wax—
Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings.”

Sorry to see you go Mike. Knicks then play D and blow out Blazers. Last night was Noche Latina 2012, so the Knicks were Nueva York and the Blazers remained the Blazers. The game on Monday featured Los Bulls.

Took the day off for some personal chores and what do I get in an E-mail, $10 off on Outback Surf and Turf. Sold !

Well, March 16 starts what is turning out to be a two day celebration. Tomorrow begins with Irish Coffee.

NYT magazine has terrific piece on Foxwoods Casino. They mention Don Johnson, who was profiled in The Atlantic. Amazing that the Casinos shortened their risk.

Also, quoting the CEO,Scott Butera :
"The math is the math," he said. "Over time, we’ll make our vig." Vigorish - : a charge taken (as by a bookie or a gambling house) on bets; also : the degree of such a charge ,a vigorish of five percent, (perhaps from Ukrainian vygrash or Russian vyigrysh winnings, profit)

"Our junior debt was trading at 5 cents on the dollar. So you want to come to a place where even though the lenders are getting a haircut on the face value, they know they’re getting an incredible lift on what it’s actually worth. That’s the magic."

A bookie with an MBA.

Forget about the play-in games, which weren't bad. March Madness starts today.

Omar Little wins the Wire Tournament. Actor Michael K. Williams is humble about his win.

Blue Moon, the song, was written by Rodgers and Hart. The original version had the melody but not the words which took four tries.

Grantland has a Wire Bracket. The NCAA Basketball Bracket comes out tonight.

People are now writing off the Knicks and Jeremy Lin. Big mistake. Today, the season begins at 12:00 pm.
***Well, after watching them get blown out I may have to start the season tomorrow.

Great win by Louisville last night. Peyton Siva was tourney MVP and looked real good. Not as good as Xavier's Tu Holloway, but real good. Today has ACC and A-10 finals.
***Not so good with my assessments. Xavier gets beaten by the Bonnies.

Couldn't get the sound bar to work with DVD. A little thinking and research solved it. Each platform needs a connection to the source. I'm pretty good with technical matters and these issues are not hard. I can't see how people with no patience can do the set-ups. Talking Flat Screen HDMI connections on top of cable, with a DVR thrown in. I have a DVD with a HDMI plug, and now that I connected that, the video is clearer.
