At first, I thought it was food poisoning but since everyone in the house came down with it: norovirus. Nasty piece of change, just starting to feel better. It hit the NY area and impacted many schools. The one I caught in Peru lasted nine days, this one three days.

I know it as The Road Warrior not Mad Max 2.

Old Speckled Hen was not named after a chicken but a paint splattered MG car.

From their web site:

"In 1979 the MG Car Company celebrated the 50th Anniversary of its move from Edmund Road, Cowley, Oxford to Abingdon. They asked Morland & Co. to brew a special commemorative beer for the occasion, for which they would suggest the name. The name chosen was ‘Old Speckled Hen’, which took its name not from a bird, but a car: a paint-spattered MG Featherlight Saloon. Back in the day, this was the MG factory run-around, fondly referred to as the “Owld Speckl’d Un” due to its mottled appearance after several years parked under the paint shop."

Nusquam est qui ubique est. Vitam in peregrinatione exigentibus hoc evenit, ut multa hospitia habeant, nullas amicitias.

Who is everywhere is nowhere. When a person spends all his time in foreign travel, he ends by having many acquaintances, but no friends.

Near Madison Square Garden. 24 is still good, not like before but still good.
