House on Haunted Hill. I saw it when I was eight years old. I remember being scared. Any movie with Richard Long , Elisha Cook Jr. and Vincent Price in it is worth sitting through.
Gourds.
Beverly Pepper, My Circle: In special recognition of Beverly Pepper’s 93rd birthday, the monumental sculpture My Circle, 2008 is on view in Union Square. The sculpture continues the artist’s contemplation of time, materiality and place, and is part of Curvae, her series of curved forms. By using Cor–Ten steel, a corrosion–resistant material that naturally and quickly develops a weathered–looking patina, Pepper is able to speed up the oxidation process, and in so doing suggest the concept of elapsed time through the sculpture’s skin of rust.
Like many of her monumental works, My Circle engages the viewer through the interplay of convex and concave forms. The use of opposing forces – vertical and horizontal, interior and exterior – creates a lyrical meditation of space that is at once dominant and intimate. The artist has stated that “Seeing, touching, and the physical sensory engagement is the way into my sculpture; my intention is that the meaning of my work rests in experiencing it, similar to the performing arts where listening and seeing the moments of a performance where meaning is revealed through experience.” She notes that My Circle, standing at fourteen feet tall in Cor–Ten steel, for her recalls an image from years ago relating to the symbolic character in Zen Buddhism where it is known as the Enso, a drawing in ink of an open or closed circle. The closed circle represents the totality of experience and life. The open circle represents the imperfection found in all things, and is known as the circle of enlightenment, its symbolism referring to the beginning and end of all things, the circle of life, and the connectedness of existence. What Pepper is drawn to within this narrative is the notion of the “connectedness of existence” and how we can connect people and populations through art.

You can find most glitch fixes on the internet. My I-Phone developed a Text Box turns grey issue. The Grey hid what you were currently typing and it was quite annoying.Basically, the cure is a reboot with extra steps. Fixed now.
DVR problem, reboot fixes. I think a reboot solves about 85% of most issues.

Economic Theories have some great names, from Paul Krugman's column : Mystery Meat and Puppies and Rainbows.
I watch The Good Wife for Alan Cumming.
Trip to Riverhead outlets with the Grandkids. Nice fireplace, a cool Ferrari and lunch at TGIF's. Food is so-so but their deserts are awesome.
Another place on the Staten Island Pizza tour. Joe and Pat's on Victory Boulevard. Run by the family that now runs Pier 76. Jeremy Pappalardo of Pier 76 is the son of Gerry Pappalardo of Joe & Pat's. Had an excellent Sicilian slice.

Was playing with my fixed-up laptop and wanted to test a DVD player. Three hours and twenty-six minutes later, it works. Great movie, Toshirô Mifune , Seiji Miyaguchi and Takashi Shimura make it special.

No Victory beer. Better season than expected but they ran out of gas by the last month. Will keep tabs on the Mets but will not have the rooting interest.
William Gibson from his Paris Review interview: "When I’m writing a book I get up at seven. I check my e-mail and do Internet ablutions, as we do these days. I have a cup of coffee."
The above pictured quote was from the same interview.
Internet ablutions, great line. I do it every morning, checking news, finances and stupid stuff I follow.
