What is the Strawberry Moon?

It is a full moon, which occurs in June, named by early Native American tribes. It is a full moon like any other, but marks the beginning of the strawberry season. The two events coincide once every 70 years.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there.



Giving blood today, incentive to drink fluids afterwards. The blood center contacts me all the time, I give at work or at church.



At the Oyster Bar, it's a long haul to the bathrooms. You are told to walk to the saloon and the bathroom is under a fish, a Tarpon no less.



Daylilies are part of the genus Hemerocallis, which in Greek means, "beautiful for a day." They are not true lilies (Lilium spp.) as their common name implies.
