CBS's reboot of The Twilight Zone is garnering a lot of attention. This poster was kind of cool.

T. rex: The Ultimate Predator at AMNH. Feathers? Will check it out. As a member, I can see it without charge and reserve a viewing time.
Taking the day off to explore my retirement options. Not doing it just yet, but some pre-planning is in order. Decisions must be made with an understanding of the plan's parameters. I am constantly surprised at the lack of knowledge displayed by my work colleagues about this important step. Of course, many consult with me because they know I work at understanding it.
The 81st Street station, the AMNH stop, has some interesting mosaics.
Standing straight like Godzilla was not the way T-Rex operated.
T. rex: The Ultimate Predator was great. The Virtual Reality station was awesome.
T-Rex was from North America. Feathers were for camouflage.
Also visited some old favorites.

Easter Island: Statues placed near fresh water. I was hoping that they were aligned for the Solstice or Equinox.
My brackets were pummeled but my Final Four picks are still alive.
Happy VĂ„ffeldagen!

Vernal Equinox. At Machu Picchu this rock is called the “hitching post of the sun”—Intihuatana, to the ancient Incas, who celebrated the equinox at this site. Some bright mind among them determined that this day was a special one, and so he—or she—carved the 26-inch-tall stone so that it faces at a very particular northward angle—about 13 degrees, the latitude of Machu Picchu. The effect is that at noon on both the spring and fall equinoxes, for just an instant, the stone’s shadow disappears. The sun, so it seemed to the ancients, was at those moments “hitched” to the end of the stone.

17% off for St. Patrick's Day. Trees, that's what it is about. Richard Powers will make it interesting.
I thumbed through this while at Barnes and Noble. Didn't have a coupon then. A quick review, packaged in graphics. I need it for the plays I haven't seen or read. A small lot.
Sirius XM Channel 30 had Irish Music all weekend. Flogging Molly‘s Dave King and Bridget Regan hosted traditional jigs and contemporary Irish rock songs — from folk groups like The Chieftains and The Dubliners to Celtic punk bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and The Pogues. Real good stuff.

St. Patrick's Day. Going to make a Corned Beef simmered in Guinness Stout.
Got the recipe from Allrecipes. Of course, I did some modifications including throwing a little Jameson.
Went to the Barclay's Center for a College game.
Local bar had an outside porch on the upper level. 70 degrees and a great place to hang out.
Love the hat.
Guinness settling.
$5 win and $41 win in a real poker game.
