Staycation - August 25, 2008

Went to PS1 in Queens as part of MOMA admission.
Olafur Eliasson ,who did the NYC Harbor Waterfalls, had some interesting stuff.

Olafur Eliasson works at PS1 include: Take your time (2008), Reversed waterfall (1998), Beauty (1993). On view through September 15.

Afterwards, a trip to a new BBQ place ,225 Park Avenue South
at 18th Street,Wildwood.

Great beer menu. Had the 20 oz. Anchor Porter and the
Abita Turbodog.

Carolina Pulled Pork was great but the BBQ Brisket
Sandwich was unsatisfactory.

The Shrimp Quesadilla appetizer was worth
coming back. I spoke to the manager about the Brisket.

From the Anchor web site:"We use specially roasted malts, a top-fermentingBlack Malt yeast, and only fresh whole hops, which are added liberally. All this combines to produce a rich and intense flavor with subtle notes of chocolate, toffee, and coffee."
