August 28, 2009 - North End
A quick trip to Riverhead NY for some wine
and shopping. Visited three wineries and the first was the best:
Roanoke Vineyards.
Beautiful setting and peaceful. The tasting house
was hosted by artist Scott Sandell who designs
the labels. He gave a tutorial that was fun and interesting.
Bought two bottles for this weekend.
Next up was Palmer Vineyards.
All the vineyards and wineries have outdoor
chairs and tables.
Last but not least was Deliberto Winery.
The sun was right on the grapes and made
for some nice shots.
The wine was good too.
Local Farm Stand for Blackberries, Corn and Tomatoes.
A little Tanger visit for discount shopping.

Restaurant Week lunch at Victor's.
A real treat, old-school type of place, very
professional service and great food. Had the
Ropa Vieja and a nice Argentinian wine.
Went to see South Pacific at Lincoln Center.
Got 20% off tickets at TKTS.
Wonderful play. Had upper loge seats that
gave a real panoramic view of the stage and the
orchestra beneath it.

Blue Moon on tap. Crazy dancing bartender.
Singing along with the LOUD sound system's
Jonas Brother's World War III through a Megaphone.

The tap 250 was delightful.
The Smithwick was excellent.
It wasn't too crowded.
Brother Jimmy's was also decent.
Brother Jimmy's list.
Dallas Jones Bar*B*Q was the best.
Good ribs and terrific beans with tomato chunks.
