With JR Smith back, the Knicks should coast. I had picked them in five. They are the better team. I never realized the extent of JR Smith's Tatoos.

Can't believe the prices for weeds. Purchased Spring Garlic for $2.

Pablo Prigioni had a great game. I picked the Knicks in five. I now think it will be a sweep.
Picked this up at the Library. My third Whitey Bulger book. Fascinating story. Irish to the core.
Picked this up at Barnes and Noble with a 20% coupon. I never heard of this guy but just read a New Yorker profile. Then I read his interview by the Paris Review. I'll give this one a go and maybe try others. I haven't read any Fiction for a while.

JR's Dunk was jaw-dropping. The fourth Quarter D was outstanding. Knicks 18 - Celtics 8.
Spuds MacKenzie would be proud (The dog's real name was Honey Tree Evil Eye (October 7, 1983 - May 31, 1993). She died of kidney failure in North Riverside, Illinois.) Black Crown is not bad, tastes like Bud but with a little more kick.
Apple Pie from Terhune Orchards.
Cherry Blossoms.
The Culinary Renegades were handing out sliders with Root Beer Sauce.
So today, I made Cherry Coke BBQ Sauce for Pulled Pork.

Thanks to Thomas Pynchon's new novel Bleeding Edge, I now know it is called a Callery Pear. Named after a Sinologue who brought the species from China.

Barnes and Noble Coupon allowed me to buy Mary Roach's Gulp I expect it to be funny and informative.
This new album People, Hell and Angels features Jimi Hendrix in the studio. Buddy Miles and Stephen Stills sit in on some songs. Really fine guitar solos and a good release.
Bars with Bears are ok in my book.
A new place at Smorgasburg : Brooklyn Piggies, very tasty.
Arrived at 11, able to get Mighty Quinn's Brisket and Pulled Pork in a snap.
Bocata is still great.

Louisville takes it, great win. My Bracket was in the 85th Percentile.
Got to do my taxes. Late this year because I owe.
Tonight is Knicks and Greek night. Gyros from Tony's Opa ! Opa ! in Astoria with Greek Wine to wash it down. Opa can mean simply OOPS or some others believe the word signifies a moment to embrace and celebrate the totality of life. It is a good thing. I remember people shouting it and breaking plates in Restaurants in Astoria.
Also, Souvlaki or Gyro. I prefer the Gyro.

It was a very competitive Final Four. Let's go Cardinals ! I remember one year I picked games using Mascot v Mascot. Using that criteria, Michigan clearly wins. 9:23 starting time ? Yikes !

Great reunion last night of the 1972-73 Championship. Harthorne Nathaniel Wingo, # 43, was there too. Best 3rd Quarter I have seen for the current Knicks.
Final Four tonight. The only team left from my picks is Louisville. Rooting for them and Syracuse. Swan song for the Big East.
This will be my first year in about twenty years where I am not downtown for my Anniversary (it always coincided with the Final Four.) Can't go by myself.
Dafodils.
Marquis de Lafayette in the sun. Swordfish for dinner tonight.

The upgrade in Madison Square Garden is great. Knicks / Celtics game was terrific. Don't care that Celtics were depleted, any win over them is a cause for Joy. Paul Pierce looked sub-par and now claims he turned his ankle in First Quarter. He sat out last night's game against the Timberwolves.
The last Knick Championship was 40 years ago. It will be celebrated Friday with a 40th anniversary ceremony at the Garden. Reports are that Bill Bradley and all the surviving members of the 1972-73 club, even Phil Jackson, will be on hand.
Great beer and even BBQ at the Garden. Expensive, but so much better than what they used to have to eat and drink.
