2018 ! Here we come. Happy New Year !
Sydney Harbor Festival.
Cyril Delevanti was frequently on The Twilight Zone: A Penny for Your Thoughts, The Silence, Passage on the Lady Anne and A Piano in the House.
Burt Reynolds is hilarious in The Bard: "You must be a Tennessee knocker." John Williams is funny too. Hey look, there's Floyd the Barber Howard McNear.
Shots from Australia.
Nice shot of Niagara Falls by the Buffalo News.
Hoppin' John, also known as Carolina Peas and Rice, is supposed to bring good luck for the new year. I improvised and threw in shrimp and hot sausage.

Andre's Hungarian Bakery is nearby. These Marzipan creations looked too good to pass up.
Mimosa in my new Christmas glass.
Get Out is now on cable. Will give it a try. Really good movie. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner meets The Stepford Wives. At first, I thought Karl Malden made an entrance, but no it was Richard Herd.
Since football looks like a snooze today, Scrooge with Seymour Hicks is on the agenda.
Another holiday beer.

Will watch it tomorrow. Gene Lockhart is a wonderful Bob Cratchit. He was the judge in the film Miracle on 34th Street,in the film's climactic scene when all the letters to Santa are dumped on his desk. Also, the father of June Lockhart.
June: He replaced Lee Cobb as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman in 1949. He was brilliant in that. Apparently, Arthur Miller wanted my father to play Willy in the initial production, but Elia Kazan wanted Lee Cobb. Cobb was superb too, but when he had a heart attack and had to leave the company, Miller said to Kazan, "Now can I have my Gene Lockhart?" That's a true story, not apocryphal.
Instead of the Feast of the Seven Fishes, mine is only three: Bay Scallops, Shrimp and Calamari.
Wrapping all done, gift bags make it easier.

Saw The Last Jedi yesterday. It is deep and thought provoking. Generational tension played out with special effects. Mark Hamill shines.
Keep your eyes on Han Solo's dice.
Known as "The Broom Boy." Echoes of the Twilight Zone and Buddy Ebsen in "The Prime Mover."
Garment District Holiday Market.
Times Square blocks vehicular traffic.
Sigmund's at the Union Square Holiday Market has a great Bratwurst, a little pricey at $12. Great mustard. They are known for pretzels, so the roll was pretzel dough.
