October 11, 2010

Photo was taken on Jones Street or Fourth Street ?

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine, I walk the line

A dense wonderful blurry book. Goes off on wild tangents, but still fascinating and chock-full of detail. The NYT reviewed it twice, once in the daily section and once in the Sunday Book Review.

The first chapter is all Aaron Copeland and his influence. The second chapter is all "Beats."

Allen Ginsberg was part of Dylan's entourage on the Rolling Thunder Revue.

Wired magazine had a blistering review of this book.

Fatty 'Cue had Brisket and Tecate on tap for $11, Recession special. Almond had Peel em' Shrimp.

Pies and Thighs had small pie slices at $3 each, Sweet Potato and Key Lime.

All the food was at Worth Square. It remains one of only two New York monuments that also serves as a mausoleum. The other is Grant’s Tomb in Harlem.

Nice day to be wandering around.
